This policy explains what information Craft and Steward collects when you visit the site, why it gets collected, and what you can do about it. I’ve tried to write it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate, because a policy nobody can read isn’t much use to anyone.
Craft and Steward is a personal blog about kids crafts, activities, and printable coloring pages, run from Pakistan. The site is at https://craftandsteward.com. If anything here is unclear, email me at admin@craftandsteward.com and I’ll explain it properly.
The Short Version
I don’t sell your personal information. I don’t require an account to read anything or to print anything. Most of what gets collected is the ordinary traffic data any website records, plus advertising cookies set by third parties, which you can turn off using the links further down this page.

Information You Give Me
You only hand over personal information if you choose to. That happens in a few places.
Comments. If you leave a comment, the comment form collects the name and email address you type in, along with your IP address and browser user agent string. The IP and user agent are used for spam detection. Your email address is not published, and I don’t add commenters to any mailing list.
If you use a Gravatar account, an anonymized string created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service so your profile picture can be displayed next to your comment. Gravatar’s own privacy policy covers what happens after that.
Email. If you email me with a question, a project request, or a correction, I keep the message so I can reply to it and so I can check back later if you follow up. I don’t use those addresses for marketing and I don’t pass them to anyone else.
Information Collected Automatically
Like nearly every website, Craft and Steward records some technical information when a page loads. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system and device type, the pages you visit and how long you stay, the site or search that sent you here, and a rough location based on your IP, usually at city or region level.
None of that identifies you by name. It’s used to work out which projects people actually find useful, which pages are broken on mobile, and where readers are coming from.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Craft and Steward uses three kinds.
Necessary cookies keep the site working. They remember things like whether you’ve dismissed the cookie banner and, if you’ve commented before, your name and email so you don’t have to retype them. WordPress also sets a temporary cookie when you comment to check that your browser accepts cookies at all. These expire on their own, and the comment ones last about a year unless you clear them sooner.
Analytics cookies tell me how the site is being used in aggregate. Which coloring pages get printed most, whether people finish a craft roundup or bounce halfway down, that sort of thing.
Advertising cookies are set by the ad networks described in the next section. These are the ones that follow you between sites, and they’re the ones most people want to control.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the necessary ones will break parts of the site. Blocking the advertising ones won’t remove ads, it just makes them less relevant to you.
Analytics
I use Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns. It sets cookies and processes data on Google’s servers, including a truncated version of your IP address. Google’s own privacy terms apply to that processing.

Advertising
Craft and Steward is free to read because advertising pays for it. Here’s how that works and how to limit it.
Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site or to other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners show ads to you based on that browsing history.
You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of many other advertising vendors at once through the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative. If you’re in Europe, Your Online Choices does the same job. Browsers and extensions that send a Global Privacy Control signal are honored where the law requires it.

If you’re visiting from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you’ll see a consent banner before any advertising or analytics cookies are set, and you can change your answer later using the privacy settings link in the footer.
Affiliate Links
Some posts contain affiliate links to craft supplies, storage, printer paper, and similar products. If you buy something through one of those links, I may earn a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same.
Any post containing affiliate links says so near the top, before any recommendation, so you know before you read rather than after. Affiliate networks may set their own cookies to track which site sent a sale, typically for 24 hours to 30 days depending on the program.
Printables And Downloads
The printable coloring pages and activity sheets on this site are free and open. There’s no account, no form, and no email address required to print one. Clicking a printable doesn’t add you to anything.
Downloads are served as ordinary files from this site, so the only record of one is the same traffic data described above.
Embedded Content
Posts sometimes include embedded material from other sites, such as video tutorials or Pinterest pins. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website directly. Those sites can collect data about you, set their own cookies, and track your interaction with the embed, all under their own policies rather than this one.
Links To Other Sites
Where a post links out to a supply source, a printable from another creator, or a reference, that site’s privacy practices are its own. I check that links go somewhere reputable, but I have no control over what happens once you leave Craft and Steward.
Children’s Privacy
This matters more here than on most sites, so it’s worth being precise.
Craft and Steward is about children, but it is not written for children. The instructions, the safety warnings, the supply recommendations, and the buying advice are all aimed at the adult running the activity. The site is not directed to children under 13 as that term is used in the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Comments from visitors who identify themselves as children are removed rather than published. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this site, email me at admin@craftandsteward.com and I will delete it promptly.
If your child uses the printables, please supervise the printing rather than handing over the browser, the same way you’d supervise the scissors.
How The Information Is Used
To answer your messages and moderate comments. To see which projects and printables are worth making more of. To keep the site fast, secure, and working on phones. To serve and measure advertising. To meet legal obligations where they apply.
That’s the complete list. Your personal information is not sold, rented, or traded. Advertising partners do receive the technical and behavioral data described in the advertising section, which under some US state laws counts as “sharing” for targeted advertising, and the opt out links above are how you stop it.
How Long Things Are kept
Comments and their metadata stay indefinitely so that follow up replies make sense, unless you ask me to delete yours. Emails are kept while the conversation is useful and cleared out periodically after that. Analytics data is retained according to the settings in Google Analytics, currently the shortest option the platform allows. Advertising partners set their own retention periods, described in their policies.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, the software and plugins are kept updated, and access to the admin area is limited and protected. That said, no website can promise perfect security, and anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling. I take reasonable precautions and I’d rather say that honestly than make a guarantee I can’t keep.
Your Rights
What you’re entitled to depends on where you live, but in practice I’ll honor any of these requests from any reader.
If you’re in the EEA or the UK, you can ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how it’s processed, withdraw consent you previously gave, and complain to your national data protection authority.
If you’re in California or another US state with a privacy law, you can ask what categories of personal information have been collected and shared, request deletion, opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising, and use the site normally afterward without being treated differently for having asked.
To exercise any of this, email admin@craftandsteward.com with the request. I may need to ask a question or two to confirm you’re the person whose data it is, and I aim to respond within 30 days.
International Transfers
The site’s hosting, analytics, and advertising partners are largely based in the United States, so information collected here is processed there. Where those transfers involve data from the EEA or the UK, the providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Changes To This Policy
If practices change, this page changes with them, and the date at the top gets updated. Substantive changes, such as adding a new ad network or starting a newsletter, will be noted here rather than slipped in quietly. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
